extending into summer and winter
while man-made triggers
plus thin lightning strips act as ignition
for invasive grassy kindling
forming new ecosystems
appearing on extensive study lists
demanding vigilance
via voice-controlled digital assistants
as native seedlings die beneath
a blazing sun and are eaten
by cows and pigs ...
