as land plants grab genes
from other species
seen riding on e-bikes
while bubble subs dive
into a profusion of life
luring terns to breed
on island nesting sites
triggering camera traps
of silver-backed land animals
plus crusts of bacteria
and ancestors of algae
harnessing the power of adaption
via an escape hatch
into phantom negative gravity ...
