Now vanishing urgent rallies
holding a child in a lap as the heart of the matter
beneath palm trees ‘n’ clouds
now printed onto travel pamphlets
flattening into matte on a small scale rather than grand
shadows being cast onto a graying romance
still “Giving a darn” declaring,
 “That’s the spot for flocks of feral swans” ...
