“Tying Aid”

by Suzán Jiván Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán

Tying aid raising stakes
recalibrating operations
replacing beef with fake meat
by free-wheeling chef prodigies
cooking behind the scenes
of the entire food industry
with overwhelmingly saucy chic peas
focusing on Irish Whiskey
while feasting on yummy
googly -eyed spiders
oozing red juice from beets
taking it to the streets
spreading oh so gradually
squinting even in glasses
beneath vapor trails
feeling the strain
of a halt in aid
while lying in state
and dreaming away
of re-capturing nature
by haunting in our own way
via ghastly impersonations
from chokeholds to whistle-blowers
droning, “Mano a Mano”
etched on toppled-over headstones ...
