insects dying unraveling wildlife
oxygen-depleting algae
devastating pig disease spreading wildly
defensively becoming frugal
to the point of being labeled, “stingy”
bedeviling planning lying tight-fisted bare
pushing up costs of sausages and meatballs
ramping up lamb and beef as well as poultry
in order to offset shortfalls
large cleavers bloodied slabs
masses gathering to blankly stare
while compulsively washing hands ...
